Celebrating Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

As part of our ongoing commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, we are proud to introduce our DEI Calendar. This initiative aims to highlight significant cultural events, observances, and holidays throughout the year. Each month, we feature a different cultural highlight to raise awareness and foster a deeper understanding of the diverse communities that make up our world.

The DEI Calendar is designed to celebrate the richness of cultural diversity and provide a platform for learning and engagement. While we recognize there are many important cultural events and observances, this initiative serves as an introduction to the wide array of celebrations and holidays that exist, with the goal of fostering awareness and inclusivity.

We value your input and encourage you to share any suggestions for cultural observances, holidays, or awareness days that you believe should be highlighted. By submitting your ideas through the form below, you help ensure that our DEI Calendar truly reflects the diverse and dynamic culture of our community.

To end the cultural highlight for the month of January, we are highlighting The Lunar New Year or as most know as Chinese New Year. (Xīn Nián Kuài Lè 新年快乐!)

The Lunar New Year is a celebration that is celebrated for 16 days and marks the start of a new zodiac cycle based on the Chinese lunar calendar. 2025 marks the year of the Snake. The Snake (the 6th animal in the zodiac cycle), symbolizing wisdom and transformation, offers opportunities for personal growth and change.
